Why do we recommend that you follow this guideline?
Over time, a pet will develop specific flora (bacteria) in its gut to help digest its food. These flora are needed to help digest foods with ground corn, chicken heads, feet or intestines, ingredients NEVER found in NATURAL CHOICE.
This blending period allows the pet's digestive system to adjust to the more digestible NATURAL CHOICE without experiencing dietary upsets that can sometimes accompany a rapid change in diet.
